NUST students partner with Tesla for development of electric vehicle components

Students from the Pakistan Navy Engineering College-NUST have chosen Tesla as their creative partner. Through the partnership, the world leader in the field of electric vehicles (EVs) will provide Formula Electric Racing NUST (FERN) with technical assistance, technology sharing, and key components for EV development.

With this accomplishment, FERN has established itself as the first and only educational organisation to collaborate with one of the most well-known companies in the world (Tesla) in the automobile sector.

One of the member colleges of NUST, Pakistan Navy Engineering College’s Formula Student team is called FERN. Since 2016, the group has been focusing on electric propulsion.

It has had the distinct honour of competing in five Formula Student competitions on behalf of Pakistan and earning the country’s lone podium finish. The group is currently creating a number of internal parts that it intends to incorporate into forthcoming iterations of the vehicle.
