The pre-Hajj operations conducted by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from Karachi to Jeddah have been successfully concluded, marking a significant milestone in facilitating pilgrims’ journey. A total of 61,467 pilgrims were accommodated through 268 flights, serving government-sponsored and private pilgrims, as well as staff members based in Madina and Jeddah.
The pre-Hajj operations began on May 21 and continued until June 22, providing ample time for pilgrims to make their preparations and travel arrangements. PIA ensured convenient access for pilgrims by departing flights directly from major cities such as Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Peshawar.

During the operations, PIA achieved an impressive punctuality rate, with 94 percent of the 268 flights departing on time or slightly ahead of schedule. Out of the total flights, 249 flights maintained timely departures, ensuring a seamless travel experience for the pilgrims.
Although a few delays were encountered during the Hajj operation, they were limited to only 19 flights and were attributed to various reasons. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIA expressed appreciation and applauded the teams involved in achieving a high rate of timely departures throughout the operation.
PIA is now preparing for the post-Hajj operation, scheduled to commence on July 2 and continue until August 2. The airline is committed to ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience for pilgrims during this crucial period.
