China is willing to make a $15 billion investment in Pakistan’s petrochemical sector

According to a top government official, Chinese companies have shown a readiness to spend $15 billion in Pakistan’s petrochemical industry.

Fareeha Mazhar, Federal Secretary Board of Investment, indicated that Chinese corporations would invest in Gwadar’s petrochemical sector and the project of energy pipeline from Gwadar to China.

She went on to say that discussions are being conducted to discuss investment in several projects relating to Chinese investment in Pakistan.

She believes that in the future, Chinese companies may bring investment to Pakistan in the energy, agriculture, tourism, and other areas. She believes that this would happen.
