Islamabad police launch female self-defense training program

The Islamabad Police Department has launched a one-month complete self-defense course for girls, which includes physical training, firearms training, and an attack course.

Classes will be held three times a week, from 4 to 7 p.m., and will cost Rs30,000. For the time being, registration is only possible through an online application form.

The program educates all women on how to defend themselves and how to foster a strong culture among the country’s female population.

According to Lahore police, the number of sexual assault and harassment instances has increased by 300 percent in the city.
