In the current fiscal year, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to build additional parks with cutting-edge amenities, bringing the total number of parks in the nation’s capital to 250.
Details indicate that the civic organisation has set aside money for the creation of new parks that will be built in a number of locations, including Bhara Kahu and sections H-8, I-14, and I-16.

For planned initiatives that would be carried out in accordance with best worldwide practises to protect and develop the natural environment of the green city, the CDA’s environment wing is putting up Project Concept I (PC-I).
The civic organisation holds 350 acres of forest land north of sector D-12 along the Margalla Road, from the Shahpur road stop to Bhara Kahu on the Murree side. This land will be used to build the second-largest park, with a total area of 155 acres.
The CDA and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration have also recently received instructions from the federal government to boost forest cover and create public leisure areas that are environmentally friendly. Currently, CDA is working on efforts to create parks in the city as well as a tree planting programme. According to a city official, “We created and upgraded almost fifty new parks last year at a cost of Rs.341 million.”
According to him, parks have been built in a number of sectors, including D-12, E-11, F-6, F-11, F-10, G-7, G-11, G-14, H-8, I-8, I-9, I-10, I-11, I-14, I-16, Park Enclave, Diplomatic Enclave, Rawal Town, Shahzad Town, Bani Gala, Mulpur, Shakrial, Shakarparian, and Khana Pull.
Eight parks in D-12 and six in Park Enclave that were recently launched, according to him, are also offering the locals a healthy recreational space. These new parks feature swing sets, playgrounds for children, jogging trails, and sitting places.
