The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is prepared to fulfil the target completion date of the Rawal Dam Interchange project, which has entered its final stages.
The specifics indicate that the filling of the interchange’s two ramps has been finished. According to a CDA spokesman, instructions have been given to the responsible organisation to perform additional compaction in order to reduce the impact of the recent rains on construction activities and assure the supply of high-quality travel services. In order to prevent the construction projects from being negatively impacted by severe rains, granular material is also being employed, he added.

In this case, the administration of the Capital Development Authority gave instructions to the respective departments that the pace of work should be speed up, high quality work should always be guaranteed, and all available resources should be used to finish the project ahead of schedule.
The Rawal Dam Interchange project, which FWO is now working on, was supposed to be finished one month earlier than the specified timeframe. The project’s committed delivery date was October 2022.
The project includes multiple slip roads and one underpass as well as an overhead bridge and a separate underpass connecting Margalla Town. The project is being constructed at the junction of Murree Road, Club Road, and Park Road. Once completed, the project will provide relief to commuters as traffic congestion on this portion of Murree Road has become a routine.
