Toyota Suzuki cut vehicle prices after sharp recovery of Rupee

Automobile manufacturers in Pakistan have reduced car prices due to the sharp recovery in the rupee’s value against the US dollar.

Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) and Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) have cut their vehicle prices. Indus Motors has reduced the prices of Corolla models ranging from Rs330,000 to Rs440,000. The price of the Corolla 1.6 MT has been reduced by Rs330,000 from Rs4.899 million to Rs4.569 million. The Corolla 1.6 AT variant is now priced at Rs4.789 million, a Rs350,000 decrease.

Similarly, the prices of Yaris models have been reduced by Rs260,000-310,000. In this category, the Yaris 1.5 CVT saw the largest price drop of Rs310,000, and is now priced at Rs4.259 million, down from Rs4.569 million.

Revo rates ranged between Rs650,000 and Rs820,000. The price of the Revo G MT dropped from Rs9.819 million to Rs9.169 million, while the price of the Revo V AT Rocco dropped from Rs11.999 million to Rs11.179 million. IMC has also reduced the Fortuner model’s prices from Rs910,000 to Rs1.14 million.

Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has reduced the prices of its cars in the Rs75,000-199,000 range. The new prices will go into effect on August 16, 2022.

The Alto VX model’s price has been reduced by Rs90,000 to Rs1.699 million. The car was previously available for Rs1.789 million.

Meanwhile, the Wagon-R VXR variant’s price has been reduced by Rs128,000, while the Wagon-R AGS model’s price has been reduced by Rs147,000.

Similarly, the company reduced the prices of three Cultus variants from Rs125,000 to Rs145,000.
