Ministry of IT&T Invites Stakeholders and Experts for National AI Policy Consultation

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) is taking an inclusive approach to ensure effective policy-making in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). In line with this commitment, MoITT invites stakeholders from the public sector, academia, civil society, private sector/industry, and the public at large to provide their valuable feedback on the draft National AI Policy.

Stakeholders and interested individuals can submit their feedback via email to feedback.naip@moitt.gov.pk. The ministry welcomes constructive suggestions, insights, and recommendations to shape the policy in a manner that reflects the diverse perspectives and expertise of the stakeholders. The last date for submitting feedback is June 16th, 2023.

To facilitate the policy consultation process, MoITT is establishing a Policy Committee comprising experts from industry, academia, and the government. This committee will play a pivotal role in leading the consultation process and finalizing the draft of the National AI Policy.

The ministry encourages top experts in the field of AI from both industry and academia to join the Policy Committee. Experts interested in becoming part of the committee can send their requests along with their profiles to feedback.naip@moitt.gov.pk. By actively participating in the committee, experts will have the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and expertise in shaping the national AI policy.

The Ministry of IT&T is dedicated to ensuring that the National AI Policy reflects the emerging needs and challenges of the digital era.
