After heavy rains on Tuesday, at least 50 power feeders of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) tripped, causing power outages over major areas of the city.
Due to the severe rains that resulted in an overflow today amid the lengthy monsoon season, many low-lying Lahore districts have also been inundated.

Lesco acknowledged that the power supply in the densely populated areas has been suspended due to feeders tripping. LESCO will start working on restoration once the rains have stopped.
Electricity has been cut in the areas including Shahdara, Misri Shah, Begum Kot, Shad Bagh, Railway Station, Bunder Road, and Ravi Road.
Separately, the eastern areas of Sindh are expected to experience heavy to moderate rainfall beginning September 23 due to low pressure over Indian Gujarat, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
