The Henley Passport Index for 2022 revealed that the Pakistani passport was once again classified as the fourth worst passport in the world, maintaining its position from the previous year and allowing access to only 32 places without a visa.

The index rates 199 passports from different countries based on how many places their holders can travel to without a visa.

The International Air Transport Association, which managed the largest collection of travel statistics in the world, provided the data used to compile the ranking. The Henley & Partners Research Department’s continuing research was used to supplement the data.

Pakistan came in fourth place overall in the 2022 rankings, ahead of the war-torn nations of Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Afghanistan was ranked bottom on the list, with its nationals having visa-free access to just 27 nations and the lowest visa-free score of any passport. Passport holders from Syria and Iraq were permitted entry into 30 and 29, respectively
