Lumpy skin disease in cattle spreading fast in Charsada, Lucky Marwat

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 5,000 cattle have contracted Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD), whereas 66,000 cattle in KP have received LSD vaccinations overall.

Over 5,341 cattle have been affected with the LSD epidemic, according to statistics released by KPK’s livestock department. Dera Ismail Khan reported the first LSD incidence in KPK on April 22.

According to the data, 105 cattle have perished as a result of the pandemic over the past two months. The majority of the animals (18) were confirmed dead in Lucky Marwat, while 12 animals perished overall in Charsadda.

Bannu had the most infections, with 780 instances; Peshawar reported 750 cases; and North Waziristan reported 684 cases. There are a total of 5,341 afflicted animals in KPK.

The data reveals that while more than 3800 cattle are under therapy, over 1300 livestock have recovered from LSD.
